Designer, Architect or Interior Decorator?

Obviously, just on the basis of the creation of any new product is industrial design. The designer is responsible for establishing the aspects of the product’s quality such as: the aesthetics, the materials used for its construction, the functionality, the incorporation of technology ... while keeping the target audience in mind.

On the other hand the architect is in charge of the development, design and construction of buildings based usually on the needs of both who will live in the building and on the characteristics of the environment.

Finally, we have the decorator that, after all, is an interior designer. It is a person who combines environmental psychology, architecture and product design to create environments that are more than just a place, are living experiences. In short, they find the best combination between architecture – the person - context - product. They find which product design is right for a person located in a particular space.
In fact, many product designers have a little bit (or a “lot") of an architect and an interior decorator inside them and this makes them more effective. Why? Because they are able to design the product by not just thinking about technical issues and target audience but in what we might call “architectural objectives” or " environmental objectives " That is, taking into account both the type of person who will use the product as well as the characteristics of the architecture and even the environment in which it should ideally fit into.
For example, we have the case of our newly incorporated Serge Cornelissen, an architect and product designer of the Piu lamp fixtures; Jordi Vayreda, interior and industrial designer who created the Shadow lamp, the multidisciplinary designers and interior designers of Lagranja and creators of Infiore or the interior designer Jordi Ribaudí also with a multidisciplinary creative team which have been the creators of lamps such as Siso , PlumaMoon and Siss.
